Alice Levitt reports on meals served by local restaurants for the end of the year. Good thing the apocalypse never came: I have a lot of things I still need to eat. Art direction by the Rev. Diane Sullivan. Check out the article here!
More news in Mia Sladyk fandom, specifically merch! As you have gathered, I truely enjoy making "band merch" for my buddy Mia. For those in the know, girl knows how to rock! And many people do know this, as witnessed during My Morning Jacket's show in Brooklyn this past summer. I commented that such an event doubles as a Mia Sladyk Fan Club Convention, hence these little wearable gems.
If you would like some buttons, please send me your address. I've found that only a bubble mailer protects these things properly, so including a buck or two would be classy. Then, of course, you must send pictures of you and your friends wearing them.

Today is my wonderful grampa's 90th birthday! I really could never say too many good things about him. This label was created for the batch of black currant reisling that my sister Casey made for his party on Saturday. The nine "branches' in the foreground motif represent a decade.

These signs were created for recent drink specials at Terminal 5. The bottom photo shows their placement at one of our bars. I liked these designs enough that I veered off my usual Guinness-only habit and tried a couple new things. "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." -Benjamin Franklin
Here's a couple of greeting card designs I made for my Mom. The birthday card is a favorite so far, and my older sister, currently creating a business plan for honey/mead production, want me to do labels with bears hidden in the landscape. I can be paid in honey, yes.

PDF Books Available
Three PDF books are currently available for download. Each one includes several pages of hand-created artwork, digitized for your remote pleasure. The titles are as follows:
-"Sekem," set in a near-future dystopia, recounts the rise to fame of a criminal outsider into the media megalith. How deep into the corruption will Horatio slide, or is he, in fact, already far submerged?
-"Epistle: Love Letters to the Visual Environment" is a collection of photographs from my scrapbook, ten years in the making. Vignettes of love, longing, and sweet bliss culled from soul 45s, love notes, and found objects.
-"Skool: Unimagined Bridges" is the third collection of Skool comics put together during my tenure in NYC. All true stories from a frisky, funny life I call my own.
Download links to these books are only $5! For an additional $5, you can get the deluxe package, where you will receive via e-mail a special gift! Enjoy!
